RIP DJ AM, found dead in New York Apartment Friday. Read his Last Twitter Message and News Coverage Here!

Adam Michael Goldstein –  March 30, 1973 – August 28, 2009

DJ AM,  was found dead in his New York City apartment , 5pm. More reports show his body, wearing only sweatpants, was found near prescription bottles as well as a crack pipe.  This comes after one year earlier from surviving a plane crash with Travis Barker. DJ AM owned a club and was infamous for his DJ’ing in Las Vegas as a resident of the resort.  His last tweet was ironicly a quote from an old song by GrandMaster, or as I recall Snoops dis record in the East vs West Hip Hop Beef Era…  but DJ AM’s Last Tweet reads this:

“New York, New York. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york ain’t always what it seems.”

Travis Barker’s most recent Twitter Messages about DJ AM:

Don’t know how i am gonna play 2night but i am for AM. My brother is gone.i love u and miss u, i’ll never forget all the good times we had. …

-and-

“I’ll never forget everything we’ve been thru and every time i play the drums i’ll think of you. U were an amazing friend/DJ/hum
